Coffee Almond Ice Cream Torte


Coffee flavored ice cream makes for a decadent, yet refreshing dessert.

SERVES: 8
PREP TIME: 25 Minutes
COOK TIME: 150 Minutes

Ingredients

Non-stick Cooking Spray
1 1/2 cup Chocolate Wafer Cookie Crumbs(24 cookies)
1/4 cup Butter, melted
2 pints Coffee Flavored Ice Cream
1/2 cup Almonds, toasted
1/2 oz. Semi-sweet Chocolate, grated

Directions

	Preparation:: Spray bottom of 8-inch springform pan with nonstick cooking spray. In medium bowl, combine cookie crumbs and melted butter; mix well. Press mixture in bottom and 1 inch up sides of sprayed pan. Freeze for 15 minutes or until firm.

	Step 2: Spread 2 pints softened ice cream evenly into crust. Sprinkle with toasted almonds. Garnish top of torte with grated chocolate. Freeze for 2 to 3 hours or until firm.

	Step 3: Just before serving, let torte stand at room temperature for 10 minutes. Run knife around edge of pan; carefully remove sides of pan. Cut into wedges. 10 servings

	Tips:: * Chocolate wafer crumbs may be purchased, or crush 24 chocolate wafer cookies in food processor or in a plastic bag with a rolling pin. ** To soften ice cream, place container in the refrigerator for 30 minutes OR until very easy to scoop.
